Switching heroes and what carries over
One save file, four stories. Know what follows you before you hop.
From Chapter 4 of any path a Pale Raven's Perch appears in Dagsion. It leads to the Obelisk Chamber, where each hero has an obelisk. You can switch between battles as often as you like, but there is only one save file per profile.
Carry-over of map exploration and subquests applies only when a path is complete. Hopping mid-path is allowed, but finishing one hero before starting the next is far more efficient.
| What | Follows you? |
|---|---|
| Support Levels | Always, on every path |
| Blessing Levels with the gods | Always |
| Notable Deeds, Karma Shards, Boons | Always |
| Classes unlocked by path quests | Yes, on every path |
| World Map exploration | Only from a finished path into a fresh one |
| Completed subquests | Same rule; they auto-complete with rewards |
| Levels, items, Gold | Not between Part I paths; they do follow a hero into Parts II and III |
| Renown | No. Per path, and gone after Part I |
| Recruited units | Pooled in Part III across finished heroes |
What that means for planning
- Support and Blessing Levels are permanent, so time spent on them is never wasted.
- Renown is disposable. Raise it as far as the recruits and class tiers you want on this path require, and no further.
- A unit recruited on two paths appears twice in Part III. Merge Causality combines them, keeping the higher value of each stat along with extra classes, skill ranks and Combat Arts.
Replay instead of New Game+
There is no New Game+. Once any Part I path is finished, Replay from Any Chapter unlocks: the game keeps a bookmark at the start of every chapter of a finished path, and you can load any of them. Replaying Chapter 12 updates the roster that hero takes into Part II.
After the Part III credits you get a Clear Save just before the final boss, and from it any part can be replayed.
